Christmas Wonders - A Better Way to Give!

At Christmas every year, families in financial stress struggle to provide a meaningful Christmas, as provision for basic needs leaves no money for Christmas gifts and dinner.  Through Christmas Wonders, these people are empowered with the ability to select and purchase their own gifts and groceries to provide for their families without their children knowing that someone else had to pay for Christmas this year.  This year KSM helped over 460 families to have a meaningful Christmas that will be remembered.  This model of gift distribution leaves dignity and respect in tact for parents who have the ability to choose, even if just once a year what their children want instead of relying on others to make decisions.

“It will be nice to get up this Christmas morning and actually have something to open. This year will be the best Christmas that I will have for the past ten years.”

Each family or individual receives gift cards to a local grocer and retailer for each member of the family so that they can purchase and wrap their own gifts for their children and spouses as well as provide a home cooked Christmas dinner.

Recipients are accepted, based on need, from Kerr Street Ministries, associated partner organizations and local schools.
