Welcome to our new website!

These are exciting times at Kerr Street Ministries. As we are preparing our organization for the future, the construction of a new multi function facility; The Dream Centre is underway.  Completion of the Dream Centre is expected in May 2010 with a public grand opening on May 15, 2010.  The organization has been revamped with intentionality and focus to provide the best possible services to our program participants as we strive to improve our local community by empowering through education. By reading this you are witnessing the one of the first results of these efforts by visiting our new website!

The Dream Centre is underway!

If you take a drive down Kerr Street you will be astonished at the rapid progress on the Dream Centre.  The second floor is now poured and the exterior steel framing and sheathing is now almost complete with window and door frames being installed. 
 
This marks significant progress since the shovels entered the ground in September. One item you will notice right away is the bright green Securock made by Canada Gypsum Company that covers the exterior of the building.

We are organising a 3 on 3 Road Hockey Tournament in support of Kerr Street Ministries on March 20, 2010.
It will be held on Kerr Street, here in Oakville.  For further details or to register, call (905) 845-7485.

Look at these kids in action!

With help from mom, Annie, Hannah, Sarah and Eve G. hosted a fundraising December Holiday Tea Party sponsored by Oakville's own Black Forest Pastry Shop, Bean There Gourmet Coffee & Fine Tea and Sobeys. Guests were encouraged to wear their holiday best, enjoy tasty treats and share in the holiday spirit by donating children's gifts to benefit Kerr Street Ministries and collecting donations for Habitat for Humanity while Christmas caroling. This has become an annual tradition for the girls. They truly enjoy spreading holiday cheer to those less fortunate.  Thank you girls!
